Ascension Parish deputies are searching for 82-year-old Virgil Chamness, of Prairieville. According to an official statement from APSO, Chamness was last seen around 3 p.m. Monday, October 9.
Chif Deputy Bobby Webre said the man was seen leaving his residence in the 17000 block of Carpenter's Chapel Road in Prarieville.
Chamness suffers from Alzheimer's disease, as well as a heart condition, according to APSO. He may be driving a white 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood with the license plate ZLH662. Chamness is six-foot, 115 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes.
He is also said to have a black and tan-colored dog with him named Lucky.
