On Tuesday, Oct. 18, members of the Paincourtville Fire Department visited the children of St. Elizabeth School.

Fire Chief Leroy Blanchard, along with Captain Greg Barbier, SES Class of 2009, and Captain Beau Barbier,SES Class of 2008, taught the children about fire safety and prevention.  Topics that were covered included the importance of working smoke detectors, being sure to have at least one fire extinguisher in every home and having a family meeting place in case of a house fire. A few students even received smoke detectors and fire extinguishers to take home after they correctly answered questions during the presentation.
