Ascension Public Schools will be closed Monday, Aug. 22, and Tuesday, Aug. 23, due to impacts from parish wide flooding. Twelve month employees are asked to report to work Monday, Aug. 22. All twelve month employees who unable to report due to flooding are asked to contact their immediate supervisors.

"Although only six of our 27 schools are affected by flood waters, there are parish wide impacts that touch every school. We are working on a plan to accommodate the almost 5,000 displaced students and are tentatively planning to open some schools as early as Wednesday, Aug. 24. More information will be communicated by close of business on Monday," said Superintendent David Alexander.
