The River Parishes Community College Foundation has opened a special flood fund to assist faculty, staff and students facing expenses due to recent flooding in our area.
“We know our many of our faculty, staff and students are hurting and are facing unexpected expenses and hardships,” said Glen Duncan, the executive director of the River Parishes Community College Foundation, “and we know the citizens of this region are seeking specific ways to provide real help. This fund will do that.”
Those wishing to donate may simply send a check payable to RPCC Foundation, marked “Flood Fund” in the note and mail to RPCC Foundation, P.O. Box 550, Gonzales, LA, 70707. Donors can also log onto www.rpcc.edu and find the “DONATE” button on the home page.
All donations received online during the next several weeks will be directed to the flood relief fund.
“We’ll be able to take assistance requests from our faculty, staff and students and use the donations to offset unexpected costs the best we can,” Duncan said.
