Today we are unveiling an enhanced website design with new, exciting features and much faster load times.
The website was developed in partnership with world-renowned design firm Garcia Media. The goal of the redesign is to improve the experience for our readers and advertisers. We think it does just that and hope you agree!
You will see many new features, including:Faster loading of content and advertising on all pages An infinite scroll feature that allows you to breeze easily through articles More images and larger presentation of videos and photo galleries A mobile experience similar to desktop for easy navigation no matter the device
Thank you, and we hope you enjoy the site.
Where are the Obituaries?
On desktop, you can find a link to this feature right at the top of the site, in the dark blue bar along with other links, including access to all your favorite content in the Sections menu. ON mobile, use the menu button at top left to access Obituaries and other features.
I don’t see the link on the homepage to sections I usually visit. How do I find them now?
Go to the Sections icon at the upper left hand side of the homepage to click and a full menu of sections will open.
What is different on the article pages?
Readers no longer have to click through each page of articles. Simply scroll down the page and the articles will continue to load. Then, below the article you will find even more headlines related to the article you have just completed. If you do not want to continue scrolling and want to go Home, simply navigate back using the menu at the top left.
How do I comment on a story?
At the end of a story, you will see a blue link that says “Jump to comments.” This link will take you directly to the commenting box. You can also scroll to find the comments section. You will need to register through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or a Gmail account to comment.
How can I access all the articles on the site?
If you are a print subscriber, you have access to all of our content through your all-access account. Others can read up to seven articles per month for free, but beyond that you will need a print or digital only subscription to access more content on our desktop site and mobile browser. To subscribe, click on the Sections icon at the top left on mobile and desktop to access Subscriber Services and click the link to Subscribe.
