It was a great weekend for the Dutchtown swim teams as the boy's team won the first Capital City Swim League meet, and the girls finished in second.

For the girls, they were narrowly edged out by University High, 360.50-344.

Dutchtown finished second in the 200 medley relay.

Lilly May finished third in the 200 freestyle with a time of two minutes and 14.92 seconds while teammate Jordan Slater finished second in the 200 individual medley with a time of two minutes and 33.90 seconds.

May also finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of one minute and 8.20 seconds.

Teammate Abby Schexnaydre finished third in the 100 breaststroke with a time of one minute and 26.02 seconds.

Finally, the Lady Griffins finished second in the 200 freestyle relay, only behind winner U-High.

The Dutchtown boys gave a great performance--edging out runner-up Zachary by 118 points.

The Griffins finished third in both the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Zachary Babin won the 200 freestyle with a time of two minutes and 2.32 seconds. Teammates Wesley Daniel and Elliott Fruge finished in second and third, respectively.

Babin also won the 500 freestyle with a time of five minutes and 28.13 seconds. Teammate Joseph Smith finished in third.

Patrick Faulkner won the 100 butterfly with a time of one minute and 5.80 seconds.

The Griffins finished third in the 200 freestyle relay.

Daniel finished third in the 100 backstroke.

Another parish school that had a great day was East Ascension. The girls finished fifth, and the boys finished in third.

For the girls, Carley Foster won the 200 individual medley with a time of two minutes and 24.80 seconds.

She also won the 100 breaststroke with a time of one minute and 17.79 seconds.

Lauren Michelli finished in third in the 500 freestyle.

For the East Ascension boys, they finished third in the 200 medley relay.

David Boylan won the 200 individual medley with a time of two minutes and 17.53 seconds while teammate Dylan Vidrine finished third.

Vidrine also finished third in the 50 freestyle.

The Spartans took the No. 2 spot in the 200 freestyle relay.

Finally, Boylan finished second in the 100 backstroke.
