The East Ascension Rotary Club warmed up their voices and got in the Christmas Spirit for a great cause to assist the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Christmas Crusade for Children on Dec. 2.

The APSO Christmas Crusade Program has been dedicated to helping disadvantaged children 0 – 12 years of age in Ascension Parish.  They are a nonprofit organization, and for over 16 years they have been providing hundreds of children in our community with toys for Christmas.

The Rotary Club visited neighborhoods in Ascension Parish and sang Christmas Carols to families in exchange for a new, unwrapped gift for a deserving child this Christmas.

“This is always a fun way for us to contribute to a worthy cause and get in the spirit of Christmas all at the same time,” said East Ascension Rotary President Bridget Hanna. “We want to thank all of the families that contributed gifts or donations this year.”
