The St. Amant High Golden Gator Marching Band has been hard at work this summer. Throughout the summer, several camps have been held for band members and the color guard. For the past two weeks, the band and color guard have been learning music and marching routines for their spirit show and this year's marching show. For the second year the band is nearing 300 total members. The continued growth of this award winning band has necessitated the addition of a third Band Director. Mr. Andrew Graham joins Mr. Craig Millet and Mr. Joey Nasser as Band Directors and Stephanie Gill, Color Guard Director, at St. Amant High. This year's drum majors are Mallory Ducharme, Mason Westbrook, and Abigail Lambert. To cap off this year's camp, the band will hold an exhibition performance on August 1, 6:30 p.m. at the Pit, St. Amant Middle School. Everyone is invited to come out and help kick off this year's band program. All parents and interested persons are reminded there will be a mandatory Band Meeting on August 15 at 7 p.m. in the Commons at St Amant High. The meeting will highlight the football schedule, worker schedules, marching competitions, and other information parents need to know to ensure their student has a great band year. GEAUX GATORS!
