The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reports that Corey Robertson, 17232 Jefferson Highway, #835, baton Rouge, wanted in connection with the June 18 murder of Joshua Banks, has been arrested.


The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reports that Corey Robertson, 17232 Jefferson Highway, #835, baton Rouge, wanted in connection with the June 18 murder of Joshua Banks, has been arrested.

Early Saturday morning the body of Joshua Banks was located in the parking lot of the Alligator Bayou Bar, which has been closed for quite some time. Banks died of multiple gunshot wounds. During the subsequent investigation three subjects were arrested:

Montrell Lemon, 20, of 17232 #835 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, Jerelyn Stovall, 30, of 316 Lenona Street, Houma, and Eujohn Moses, 33, of 1363 North Isodore, Gramercy.

All three were charged with Second Degree Murder and are currently incarcerated at the Ascension Parish Jail in Donaldsonville, where they are being held on $250,000 bonds.

Lt. Col. Paul Robert reports that a warrant for Second Degree Murder had been issued on Robertson on June 20.
Ascension Parish Detectives were assisted in their search for the fugitive by members of the Louisiana Attorney General's Fugitive Apprehension Unit. Members of this unit located Robertson in New Orleans and took him into custody early on June 24.

Robertson was then transported to Ascension Parish by Detectives where he is being held at the Parish Jail in Donaldsonville.

Bond has not yet been set on Robertson.
