Annie, the popular comic strip heroine, takes the stage at Ascension Community Theatre in July.

Annie, played by Bryn Purvis, is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan (Kristy Coast).

In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (H. Aaron Ambeau) and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks (John Sallinger) , his personal secretary Grace Farrell (Jamie Leonard) and a lovable mutt named Sandy (Savannah Parks).

Annie is running 3 full weekends from July 7-24 with evening performances at 7pm and three Sunday matinees which begin at 2 pm.
