Capital Area Human Services District (CAHSD)
Request for Proposals
Food Service for Capital Area Recovery Program

CAHSD, a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana, is conducting a fair and impartial competitive procurement process to solicit proposals from qualified contractors interested in providing food service for Capital Area Recovery Program (CARP), a licensed residential addiction treatment facility for adult males, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Non-profit, for-profit, churches, and governmental agencies may submit proposals in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP).

The services contracted as a result of this Request for Proposals (RFP) will be directed by CAHSD.
 
The contract period will be renewable annually for up to 3 years, beginning August 01, 2011.  A full summary of the work specifications is contained in the Proposal Guidelines package which will be available beginning June 9, 2011 through July 14, 2011.

The last date for CAHSD staff to receive questions concerning the RFP will be July 13, 2011.

The packet may be picked up at: CAHSD Community Support Services, 4615 Government St., Bldg. 2, (Room 200) Baton Rouge, LA 70806 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except for state holidays, or it can be obtained from the following website: WWW.CENTRALBIDDING.COM.

MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL, TOWN OF SORRENTO, TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 2011 6:00 P.M. , SORRENTO TOWN HALL, SORRENTO, LOUISIANA

Members Present:

   Judge A.J. Kling swore in Wilson Longanecker, Jr. as Mayor.

   Motion by Councilman Milton Vicknair and seconded by Councilman Randy Anny to appoint John Wright to fill the vacant council seat left by Wilson Longanecker, Jr.  Motion carried.  Vote as follows:

PROCLAMATION

Special Election-Town of Sorrento

WHEREAS, there has been declared a vacancy on the Town Council of the Town of Sorrento as of June 3, 2011 due to the resignation of Councilman Wilson Longanecker, Jr.; and
 
WHEREAS, state law requires that the governing authority for the Town of Sorrento issue a proclamation ordering a special election to fill the vacancy of the Councilman of Sorrento.
 
WHEREAS, a meeting of the Town Council was held on the 7th day of June, 2011, in which the following proclamation was issued:
 
IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED that a special election is ordered to fill the vacancy of the Councilman for the Town of Sorrento.  The open primary for this special election will take place on October 22, 2011.  Qualifying period for candidates seeking to fill the vacancy will be held September 6, 7, and 8, of 2011.  A general election, if necessary, will be held on November 19, 2011.
 
      IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the official seal of the Town of Sorrento on this 7th day of June, 2011.
