Ascension Parish pop music legends Van and Grace Broussard will be the Grand Marshals for this year’s Christmas Parade the Jambalaya Festival Association announced this morning.


Ascension Parish pop music legends Van and Grace Broussard will be the Grand Marshals for this year’s Christmas Parade the Jambalaya Festival Association announced this morning.

Van and Grace are among the Who’s Who of music and have been playing music and singing since 1954. Over the years they have played with such musical greats as B.B.  King, G.G. Shinn, Prince, Fats Domino, Johnny Allen and many more.

Grace was the duo with Dale & Grace, singing their #1 hit “I’m Leaving It Up To You”.

One of Van’s songs, “Bells Will Be Ringing” is the theme for this year’s Christmas Parade.

Van and Grace are also the only two musicians that have been inducted to the Ascension Parish Hall of Fame.

The JFA invites everyone to join the celebration Sunday Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. for the Ascension Christmas Parade to honor Van and Grace, and let them know how proud the parish is to have them and celebrate the holiday season.
