On Sept. 15 an individual's wallet was stolen from the Gonzales Wal-Mart and is being investigated by Gonzales P. D. The victim later reported to GPD that the stolen credit cards and checkbook was used to make purchases of over $2,000 at the Gonzales Wal-Mart and Kmart.

Ascension Parish Chief Deputy Tony Bacala is asking for the public's assistance in identifying several females responsible for unauthorized use of the stolen credit cards and checkbook.

The sheriff's office also received reports that the stolen credit cards and checkbook were used to make purchases of over $4,000 at Lowes, Wal-Mart and CVS stores located in the parish.

The unauthorized purchases consisted of flat screen TV's and gift cards, Bacala said.
Surveillance video at Wal-Mart in Prairieville captured three females making the unauthorized purchases.

Purchases were also made purchases at stores in the Hammond and New Orleans area.
