Over 1,800 early voters had cast ballots in Gonzales by Monday morning  for the Nov. 2 General Election, Registrar of Voters Robert Poche reported.

 


Over 1,800 early voters had cast ballots in Gonzales by Monday morning  for the Nov. 2 General Election, Registrar of Voters Robert Poche said.

In Donaldsonville 273 persons voted early last week, according to the registrar of voters.
Poche said the turnout since early voting began Oct. 19 has been the biggest since the Presidential election of 2008.

Voting continues thru Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Voters are voting in the general election for Lieutenant Governor, U.S. Senator, and 3rd 6th Congressional District U.S. Represneative.

There are also ten Constitutional Amendments on the ballot, and three parishwide propositions in Ascesnion Parish.
