The Dutchtown Griffins passed another district test Friday night as they defeated Hahnville 13-10 at Griffin Field.

“I thought it was a great effort by our defense and our offensive line,”?Dutchtown head coach Benny Saia said. “We battled all night, so did (Hahnville).”

Dutchtown was able to run out the clock after Reed picked up a first down on a 5-yard run with three minutes remaining. The Griffins held the ball for nearly seven minutes at the end.

Hahnville head coach Lou Valdin said his team missed opportunies early.
