Melancon, Hebert Elizabeth
A resident at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Baton Rouge, she passed away at 1:05 am on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008. She was 83 and a native of Sorrento. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting will resume on Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Entombment in the church mausoleum. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jackie M. and Joseph Fontenot of Maurepas; son and daughter in law, Nick and Faye Martin of Thibodaux; son, Michael Hebert of Gonzales; three brothers, Daniel Melancon, Gonzales, Willie Melancon, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Melvin Melancon, Bear, Delaware; six grandchildren, Deanna Carter, Denise Clark, Desiree Leader, Tammy Martin, Jonathon Martin, and Crystal Martin; three great grandchildren, Darion Canter and Denae and Destin Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Hebert. The family would like to express its deep thanks to Heritage Manor for their care.

Landry, Norris “Buddy” Andrew        
He was 86 and died at the Gonzales Healthcare Center on Monday, Dec. 29 2008, at 5:25 p.m.. Funeral arrangements are pending with Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales.

Little, Francis Diane
A resident of Gonzales and retired paraprofessional with the Ascension Parish and Lutcher School Systems, she passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at her home. She was 65 and a native of Albany. Visiting was held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m., lead by Deacon Jimmy Little. Visiting will resume on Friday, Jan. 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Rev. Ruben Reynolds officating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Wilmon Joseph “Coach Butch” Little; mother, Sadonia Hutchinson; daughter, Nicole Little DeSouge and her husband Clint Lloyd DeSouge; two sons, Jeffrey Thomas Little and his wife Rose Hooper Little and Gregory Charles Little and his wife Darlene Hodges Little; three brothers, David, Dilton and Roger Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Colby, Catherine, and Caroline Little, Brennon Little, Jordan, Cameron and Cade DeSouge; three step grandchildren, Daralene Covington, Kimberley Forbes and Ashley Forbes; and two great grandchildren, Hunter Convington and Mercedez Lessard. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hutchinson and a son Wilmon Joseph Little, Jr. Pallbearers will be Greg Little, Jeff Little, Clint DeSouge, Colby Little, Jordan DeSouge, and Raymond Little. Honorary Pallbearers will be Catherine Little, Caroline Little, Cameron DeSouge and Cade DeSouge. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing volleyball. Her husband’s career was coaching football and basketball, and her career was taking care of him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to St. Joseph’s Hospice. The family would like to thank Dr. Abernathy for her care.
