Gov. Bobby Jindal recently announced appointments to the Environmental Education Commission, the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology, and the Louisiana Manufactured Housing Commission.

Joseph Wiley of Prairieville will represent the 3rd Congressional District Board of Regents on the Environmental Education Commission. The 28-member commission serves to develop and present a plan for environmental education to the governor, the legislature and the public.

Theresa Rodgers of Prairieville,  a supervisor of special education for the Ascension Parish School Board and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Rodgers was named to the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.

This 7-member board serves to regulate the practice of speech-language pathology and Audiology by examining all applicants and issuing licenses or certificates to those possessing the necessary qualifications.

Gary Millet Sr. of Gonzales, the president of Rollin’ Homes, a manufactured housing company, was named to represent the 3rd Public Service Commission on the Louisiana Manufactured Housing Commission.  Millet has over two decades experience in the field.

The Louisiana Manufactured Housing Commission serves to conduct periodic inspections of manufactured homes on dealer lots, handle consumer complaints relative to manufactured homes, and issue licenses to manufacturers, retailers, developers, salesmen and installers.
