SAHS standout Boudreaux plays in first Under Armour All American Softball Game

ORLANDO – St. Amant High School junior Kandace Boudreaux recently laced up her cleats to take part in the inaugural Under Armour High School All American Game, played Sunday at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex.

Boudreaux was one of 30 players nationally selected to play in the game, which feature girls from the classes of 2009 and 2010. The game was televised nationally on ESPNU.

Boudreaux’s Boom Boom Tap (North) squad scored a 2-1 victory in the contest.


The game is scheduled to air on ESPNU again Sunday, July 27 at 11 a.m. and 10 p.m., July 28 at 8 a.m. and Aug. 2 at 4:30 p.m.

The shortstop helped lead the Lady Gators to last season’s Class 5A semifinals before running up against Pineville. She finished with a batting average of .438 last season to go along with eight home runs and 34 runs batted in.

Boudreaux was also recently named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s Honorable Mention All American Team.

Boudreaux was also named to the NFCA All American Second Team in 2007.
