What part of no does the Ascension Parish Council not understand?

The majority of citizens are opposed to spending precious tax dollars on LDEC, as was mandated last fall in the same election that you all participated in. Did you notice?

We said we wanted safe roads, parishwide sewer treatment and recreation parks.

If the Parish Council has a secret stash or some mysterious funding sources, use them for what we asked for and do so without raising our taxes.

There are other available parish owned sites, like Ascension Civic Center in Sorrento that can be utilized/developed for most parish functions, use it.

Look around you. The people in this parish, state and country are sick and tired of bailouts.
