I am trying to invite all past champions and pageant queens of the festival to have lunch at Carli-Co Café on May 24, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. This is just prior to the champ of champs’ competition that takes place at 2 p.m., which is the beginning of the annual festival.

Who will formulate the revision of the Master Plan for Ascension Parish? That question has now been answered.

A recent article in a Baton Rouge newspaper has my tail feathers stirred up.

After attending the zoning meeting on Monday night at the Ascension Parish Courthouse, I was immediately bound by my conscience to write this letter.

Sunday morning I woke up to the news that Republican Congressman Joseph Cao voted for the House health care bill. My first reaction was shock followed by disappointment.

There is a massive 2,000 page bill working through Congress right now, the purpose of which is to “reform” health care in America.

Our parish President and Council need to be commended for putting together a professional staff in Planning and Zoning.

It's great to be a Spartan. The last two weeks have been so positive for East Ascension High School in the heart of Ascension Parish.
