He was a retired car salesman and his favorite things to do were bass fishing, cooking and eating whatever he wanted despite having diabetes. Just two days before he passed he told his grandson Jade to have his three butane bottles filled so that he could do some cooking when he got home and after arriving at hospice he asked if he could have shrimp pasta with six oysters on top. Crawfish season was one of his favorite times of the year. The night he met his wife Betty, he said, “that little gal is going to be my wife.” They danced the night away that night and he was very proud that she was the best dancer in the house. This Father’s Day would have been Betty and Frenchie’s 56th wedding anniversary. In honor of his wishes, no memorial services will be held. His favorite red, white, and blue hat read, “still flying, still free, and still proud” and that’s certainly how we want him to be remembered. Arrangements by Church Funeral Services, (225) 644-9683.
