Bailey, Myrtle Lee
She was 67 and passed away at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center Sunday, June 7, 2009, after a battle with cancer. She was a native of Donaldsonville and a resident of New Orleans. She was an educator with the Orleans Parish school system who retired in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Interment in Garden of Memories in New Orleans.
Bruno, Mitchell Paul
A resident of St. Amant and an employee of Ascension Insulation, he died Friday, June 5, 2009. He was 36. Interment in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Prairieville.
Cousin, Arthur Martin "Cuz”
A pipefitter and welder in the construction business, he died at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Thibodaux Regional Hospital as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was 37, a resident of Belle Rose and a native of Donaldsonville. Entombment in Ascension Catholic Church Cemetery.
Daigle, Jeannette Aline
Retired from the family business, Daigle Pontiac Buick GMC Inc., she died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2009, at St. James Hospital. She was 84 and a resident of St. John. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, Tuesday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Phil Spano. Entombment in Ascension Mausoleum. Survived by her husband, O.J. Daigle; two daughters, Debra Ann and Zeb Mayhew, Vacherie, Jane Elizabeth Daigle, Gonzales, and Stephen John, St. James; two sons, Arthur David, St. James; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Aubert Waguespack and Aline Songy Waguespack; four brothers, Hickley, Allen, Lynn and Michael; sister, Joyce W. Picou; and grandson, Jason Bouy. She was an organist for St. Theresa Catholic Church and choir director for 15 years. She was a championship golfer and an avid bridge player and LSU fan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Ascension Catholic Church.

She died Thursday, June 11, 2009, at her home in Gonzales of cancer. She was 66. Entombment at Hope Haven Cemetery, Hwy. 30, Gonzales. She also loved decorating and gardening.
Meyers, Evelina
Evelina Meyers, 79, of Prairieville, died Tuesday June 9, 2009, at Lakewood Quarters after a stroke and Alzheimer’s. Interment in Mount Gillion Baptist Church Cemetery.
