A former resident of Prairieville and resident of Elk City, Okla., died Sunday, June 22, 2008, in Elk City after a car accident. He was 34. Funeral services were held in Elk City on Tuesday, June 24.

Brescher, Leonard   
A resident of Prairieville and a longtime resident of New Jersey, he passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008. He was 89 and a native of Elizabeth, N.J. He was a retired tool maker with Singer Sewing Machine Manufacturing Co. and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Graveside service at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, N.J., on Friday, July 25.

Gautreau, Mable Cecilia Thomassie       
A resident of Gonzales, she passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at age 89. Interment in Cornerview Cemetery.
