Carpenter, Eula “Lea” Ott
She was 71 and a native of Watson and a resident of St. Amant. She died Wednesday, May 27, 2009. She was a retired server with Browns Lunches and Casino Catering. Interment in New River Baptist Church Cemetery, St. Amant.

Forbes, Alice
A resident of Galvez, she passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, at 7:15 a.m. She was 63 and a native of LaPlace.  Interment in Life Church Cemetery.

Garrison, Bertha Dee
A homemaker and a resident of Gonzales, she died at 10:26 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. She was 61 and a native of Donaldsonville. Interment in Protestant Cemetery, Donaldsonville.

Gautreaux Sr., Sidney Barry
He was 74 and passed away at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Chicago, but had settled in Prairieville for the past 33 years. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Monsignor Lieux Assembly, a Eucharistic minister and usher at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville. He retired honorably from the U.S. Air Force in 1975 following three tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from Nichols Construction.

Lambert Sr., Joseph Edgar “J.E.”
A retired truck driver for East Baton Rouge Parish and a resident of Baker, he died at 6:15 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, in Baker. He was 78 and a native of Gonzales. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on  on Tuesday, June 2, from 9 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Moran, Morris Paul
A resident of Gonzales, a retired carpenter and a member of Local 102, he passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009, at his home. He was 90, a native of Acy and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Entombment in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum, St. Amant. S. He was a member of Gonzales Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3693, Gautreau-Williams American Legion Post 81 and Holy Rosary Ushers Society.

Villar, Carla Vampran
A homemaker and a resident of Lake, she passed away at 4:35 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 44. She was cremated.
