Nidever, Layton Cecil   
A native of June Lake, Calif., and a resident of Gonzales, he passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He was 21. A memorial service will be held on a mountaintop in June Lake on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Shoemaker, Dorothy Fontana “Dora”        
A retired cafeteria worker with the Ascension Parish school system and a resident of Donaldsonville, she died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, in Donaldsonville. She was 89. Entombment in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Mausoleum, Donaldsonville.

Stewart, Murray       
A native and resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 18. Interment in the Buena Vista Baptist Church  Cemetery, St. James.

Watts, Theresa Marie Parker       
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was born on Feb. 28, 1943, in Gonzales. She was a resident of Denham Springs and passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was 65. Burial at Felder Cemetery,

Perck, Willie Peter   
A native and resident of Geismar, he died on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at 9:45 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 61. Burial in Cornerview Cemetery, Gonzales.
