A retired teacher from Ascension Parish with 38 years service, she passed away at home in Gonzales Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009. She was 101, born Sept. 9, 1908, in Duplessis. Burial in Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, St. John Catholic Daughters and was the oldest member of the 4-H Club in Louisiana.

A native of Brittany, he died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. He was 84 and a resident of Geismar. Interment in community cemetery, Brittany.
Kelly, Candice Kerr
She died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at the Pennington Cancer Center in Baton Rouge after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was 37. She was an early childhood development teacher at Gonzales Primary School.

A homemaker, resident and native of Donaldsonville, she died at 9:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at D’Ville House in Donaldsonville. Interment in Mount Triumph She was a graduate of Lowery High School in Donaldsonville.
Thompson Sr., Isaac
A retired laborer and resident of Marrero, he died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at River Region Hospice in River Region. He was 100 and a native of Geismar.
