A retired painter and member of Local 102, he died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at 1:35 a.m. at his residence in Maurepas. He was 78 and a native of Garyville. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Tuesday, July 15, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, on Wednesday, July 16, from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Jon Koehler, celebrant. Entombment in the church mausoleum.

Carter Jr., Morris
A native and resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 4 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, at his home. He was 64. Visiting at Buena Vista Baptist Church, St. James, on Saturday, July 12, from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Joseph Coleman. Interment in Buena Vista Baptist Church, St. James.

Fraley, Lottie Dupuy   
She died Friday, July 11, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. She was 47 and a resident of Gonzales. Arrangements are pending with Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, 647-8463.

Guillory, Rickey J.
Born on June 19, 1955, in Vinton, and a longtime resident of St. Amant, he died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Tulane Medical Center, New Orleans. He was previously employed as a site manager with Shaw Construction until his health prevented him from working.

Jackson, Melvin “Bubba”
A paint and body operator and a resident and native of Prairieville, he died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2008. He was 41. Interment in Bell Cemetery.

Kelson Sr., David
A longtime resident of Sorrento, he died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at his home. He was 87 and a native of Burnside. Interment in Hopeful Cemetery. He was a deacon at Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church.

Lane, Patricia Ann
A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Dutchtown, she died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Baton Rouge. She was 48. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park.

Martinez, Bertha Marie Vaughn       
A retired schoolteacher and expeditor with Shell Chemical, Geimar, and co-owner of Martinez Insurance Agency, Gonzales, she died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Tulane Medical Center, New Orleans. Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Jon Koehler, celebrant. Entombment in the church mausoleum.

Webb, William “Yarm”        
A lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2008, at Prevost Memorial Hospital, Donaldsonville. He was 57 and maintenance worker.   Interment in Protestant Cemetery. He was a 1970 graduate of Lowery High School.

Wilson, Vickie Blount  
Vickie Blount Wilson, 42 and a resident of Maurepas, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. Burial will be in Blount Cemetery in Satsuma.
