GAUTREAU, WANDA ANN BABIN

A native of Lake Charles and resident of St. Amant, she died Sunday, June 15, 2008 from lung cancer at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Visitation was at Ourso Funeral Home and Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with entombment in the church cemetery.

GUIDRY, IRMA TEMPLET

She died at 9:58 a.m. Tuesday June 17 at age 93, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. She was a native of Morgan City and a resident of Baton Rouge and Gonzales. Interment was in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

SPEGGY, HANNA SUZOR

A native of New York and resident of Prairieville, she died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday June 7 at Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge. She was 78, and a former singer/songwriter.

VEADE, ALTON THOMAS, “TOM”

A native of Plaucheville who lived in Gonzales for the last two years, he died June 11, 2008 of brain cancer. He was 64, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. A memorial service was held at Faithful United Methodist Church in St. Amant on June 21.
