Clark, Lamarcus O. “Duke”
A welder and resident of Gonzales, he died at 10:45 p.m. in Baton Rouge June 11, 2008. He was 28, a welder and resident of Gonzales, and a native of Geismar. Funeral services were held June 14 at First Pilgrim Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Gonzales, and interment was in the church cemetery.
Elliser, Inez Cornett “Maw Maw”
She died at 10:35 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 at Ollie Steele Burden Butterfly Wing. She was 91, a native of Head of Island, a homemaker and resident of Maurepas. Visiting was at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on June 15, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement on June 16. Interment was in the Whitehall Cemetery.
Gayle, Lawson “ Sonny”
He was a native of Galvez and a resident of Zachary. He died Friday June 13, 2008. He was born Dec. 11, 1929, and was a graduate of Galvez High School. He was a former Mason and a veteran of the Korean conflict in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired meter and instrument technician from Allied Chemical, and owned his own tractor and implement company in his early years.
