Louisiana State Police Troop A, along with the help of the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office and the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries, began conducting a sobriety checkpoint at 8 p.m. tonight in Ascension Parish. The checkpoint was set up at Hwy. 42 east of Hwy. 930.
