The one million gallon elevated water storage tank being built by the city of Gonzales near the Cabela’s outdoor store is nearing completion and undergoing a paint job, which will include a jambalaya pot similar to the one on the city’s other towers.
The huge pedesphere style tank, because of its size, has a spheroidal shape. The single support column will not contain water. It encloses access ladders and piping which connects to the tank.
The construction contractor is Woodlands, Texas firm CB&I. GSA, Inc. of Gonzales is the consulting engineer.
