Early voting begins Tuesday, October 23 and runs through Tuesday, October 30 (NO Sundays). Gonzales Youth Basketball

The City of Gonzales Youth Basketball League has scheduled registrations at City Hall on November 3, 10, and 17. Times will be 9 a.m. until noon each day. Cost of registration is $50. St. Catherine Fall Festival

Repticon Gonzales

On October 27-28 this family-oriented, fun-filled event offers guests the opportunity to learn about animals not normally seen in local pet stores. Breeder-vendors are always willing to teach. Throughout the event there will be seminars on animal-related topics by experts in the field of herpetology. The doors open to the general public at 10 a.m. on Saturday, closing at 5 p.m. On Sunday, the show hours are 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. At the door, tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 5-12, and children under 5 are admitted free. Annual Health Fair/Expo

Capital Area Agency on Aging (CAAA) will host their annual health fair/expo on October 25 at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Over 850 seniors from over 13 parishes attended the event last year. Louisiana Beekeepers

The USDA Honey Bee Breeding, Genetics and Physiology Laboratory and the Louisiana State Beekeepers Association will hold the 22nd Annual Field Day on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Youth Basketball Registration

Online registration for the 2019 Ascension Youth Basketball Association program (AYBA) for boys and girls ages six to fifteen runs from 10/17 to 10/31 in Gonzales. Redemptorist Legacy Homecoming

Mark your calendars for the second annual Redemptorist High School Legacy Homecoming! Trick-or-Treating Hours

At its October 4 meeting, the Ascension Parish Council set Trick-or-Treat hours from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Halloween, Wednesday October 31, in the unincorporated areas of the Parish. Children who plan on Trick-or-Treating should be chaperoned by an adult. Participants are urged to observe safety precautions, such as wearing brightly colored costumes, using flashlights, and avoiding walking on main or heavily-traveled highways.

Feast on the Levee

Join us for a great family event October 28 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Kirkland Drive in Brusly with food, fun and entertainment for all ages. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. on the church grounds following a 10 a.m. mass.
