Ascension Parish Clerk of Court and Chief Election Officer Bridget Hanna announced the opening of a new early voting site for the upcoming November 6, 2018 election. The new site which will be located at the Oak Grove Community Center, 37433 Highway 42 in Prairieville is a joint venture with the Clerk’s Office, the Registrar of Voters Office, and Ascension Parish Government.

Early voting for the November 6 election will be held Tuesday, October 23 through Tuesday, October 30 from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily excluding Sunday, October 28. In addition to the new early voting site, voters who want to vote early may still do so at the Registrar of Voters Office in Donaldsonville and Gonzales. All Ascension Parish voters are eligible to vote early at any of the above named sites.

Officials hope adding an additional early voting site will increase the number of people who come out to the polls at election time.

Voters can utilize Louisiana’s award winning smartphone app, GeauxVote Mobile, to find out where to vote as well as what’s on their ballot.
