The LHSAA has released its unofficial volleyball power rankings, and all three of Ascension's Division-I teams are ranked in the top 15.

Dutchtown has the best ranking of the trio. The Lady Griffins are ranked second, only behind defending state champion Mount Carmel.

Dutchtown was able to maintain their ranking at No. 2, despite losing two of their last four matches. They recently dropped a tough five-setter to Archbishop Chapelle, who is actually ranked right behind them at third.

Overall, the Lady Griffins stand at 13-2.

Dutchtown hosts Lakeshore this evening, and then travel to Central on Thursday.

Besides the Lady Griffins, East Ascension was included in the top 10. They sit in the No. 10 spot.

The Lady Spartans are coming off of a razor-thin five-set loss to archrival St. Amant in their district opener last night. Prior to that defeat, they had won eight straight matches.

East Ascension's record stands at 10-5 overall.

They'll visit Denham Springs on Wednesday evening, in hopes of evening their district mark.

St. Amant is ranked No. 15 in this week's power rankings.

The Lady Gators are coming off of the huge win over East Ascension. It was their third straight victory.

St. Amant bolsters an overall record of 10-9.

On Wednesday, they'll host Walker in another district contest.
