According to Sheriff Jeff Wiley, shortly before 3 a.m. June 22, deputies responded to a residence in Powers Trailer Park located on Airline Highway in reference to an attempted vehicle burglary.

The victim reported that he observed a white male, approximately 6’2” and slim build, pulling on his vehicle’s door handle. Once the suspect realized the vehicle was locked, he fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Sheriff Wiley would like to remind citizens to remember to lock your vehicles at all times, and remove all valuables to deter criminals.
