Some of the facilities that received arrangements or container plants were Gonzales City Hall, the Clerk of Court Office, the Gonzales Police Department, Council on Aging, Gonzales Library, and assisted living retirement homes.

Local garden clubs across the country federated with the National Garden Clubs, Inc. celebrated National Garden Week, June 3-9, 2018. The Gonzales Garden Club used this opportunity to encourage pride in their community by having the mayor sign a proclamation promoting the week and placing floral arrangements at public facilities along with signs promoting Garden Week.

Some of the facilities that received arrangements or container plants were Gonzales City Hall, the Clerk of Court Office, the Gonzales Police Department, Council on Aging, Gonzales Library, and assisted living retirement homes. Hopefully some citizens were inspired to plant something. This year’s National Garden Clubs theme is "Plant America.” Locally the GGC promotes “Plant Gonzales.”
