Through this organization, rules and regulations are formulated and carried out, and plans for student’s activities are made and implemented.

River Parishes Community College students have elected new leadership for the student body. New Student Government Association (SGA) officers are: Enjoli Ambrose-Champagne, President, Instrumentation, Vacherie; Rachel Schamberger, Vice President, Practical Nursing program, Kenner; Julian Guillory, Treasurer, Criminal Justice, Baton Rouge; NaQuellar Martin-Thompson, Secretary, Process Technology, Hammond.

The SGA provides a form of representative self-government to all students enrolled in the college. Through this organization, rules and regulations are formulated and carried out, and plans for student’s activities are made and implemented. In order for the SGA to successfully meet the needs of the student body, students are encouraged and expected to attend meetings and participate in the activities of the SGA. The SGA at River Parishes Community College is a program in which every student is provided the opportunity to participate.

River Parishes Community College focuses on building the workforce of today and tomorrow through specific skill training and providing transferrable courses and curricula leading to certification and associate degrees. RPCC works closely with its communities to provide programs for personal, professional and academic growth.
