Jackie Whitley was named the the 2017 "Ambassador of the Year." Amy Lambert was named "Individual of the Year."

The Ascension Chamber of Commerce honored their 2017 nominees for Ambassador, Individual, New Business, Small Business and Large Business of the Year at the annual awards banquet held at Houmas House.

According to a media release, the nominees were presented by Board Member Brandon Davis of Cox Media and past winners. The "Individual of the Year" nominees were Rachael Lambert of Ascension Specialty Advertising, Holly Daigle of One Source EHS, LLC and Amy Lambert of Neighbors Federal Credit Union.

The 2017 "New Business of the Year" Nominees were Labarre Associates, Inc., Alzheimer’s Services of Capital Area and Rouses Market. "Small Business of the Year" nominees were Quality Engineering & Surveying, Ascension Credit Union and Genesis 360 Construction. "Large Business of the Year" nominees were St. Elizabeth Hospital, The Scotts Company and Essential Federal Credit Union.

Quality Engineering & Surveying won "Small Business of the Year." Lastly, The Scotts Company won the award for 2017 Large Business of the Year.

Also stated in the release, the chamber celebrates the dedication and commitment of their 2017 Award Nominees. The program was led by Chamber Board Chairman Michael Buturla of Domain Architecture. Attendees began their evening by networking with fellow Chamber members during a social hour, followed by dinner.
