Cook said the first one hundred registered customers through the door can win free Chick-fil-A for a year, which equates to 52 chicken sandwich meals.

Chick-fil-A is coming to Gonzales in January. The new location on Highway 30 is set to open later this month, bringing the beloved chicken biscuits and sandwiches to the area.

Director of Business Development Camille Cook said there are plenty of awesome events that go along with the opening of a new Chick-fil-A location. The First 100 is one of those. Cook said the first one hundred registered customers through the door can win free Chick-fil-A for a year, which equates to 52 chicken sandwich meals.

"People get really excited about it. A lot of fun stuff goes on during the First 100, like different games," said Cook. "We have a lot of fun with it, and we do feed people while they're here as well."

There are rules for entering the First 100, so be sure to check out the website (thechickenwire.chick-fil-a.com/News/Future-Openings) for more information.

A new restaurant also comes with new job opportunities for Gonzales residents. Cook said they plan to hire between 90 and 100 employees for the new location. Applicants can also visit the hiring headquarters at the site between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

"Just come on in during business hours," said Cook. "We love to get to meet people face-to-face, so that really is awesome."

Cook said applications have been flooding in both online and in person. She added they are still accepting applications at cfagonzales.com.

Chick-fil-A offers top quality fast food, which is even delivered to customers' tables after they order. Cook said they also offer curbside delivery for customers who place a mobile order on their phone. She said they will have two designated parking spots for curbside delivery.

"We literally bring your food straight out to you. You park, you don't have to wait in the drive through line, and you can also do mobile order carry out," said Cook.

Cook noted curbside delivery is a great option for parents with kids in the car who don't want to run inside or wait in the drive through line. She said they also have heated and cooled canopies over the drive through that will allow employees to take drive through orders face-to-face.

"It's really awesome, and it helps improve order accuracy and getting to interact with our guests. We want to get to know everyone," said Cook.

Of course dining-in is another option. Cook said the dining room can seat 126 customers with additional seating for 30 more outside. Chick-fil-A lovers can look forward to weekly kids' nights once the new location is up and running.
