Tractor Supply and the National 4-H Council have a long history of working together to provide the tools necessary for success to 4-H members. This partnership has resulted in more than $11 million to support club programs since 2010. The Spring 2017 Paper Clover Campaign raised nearly $825,000 earlier this year. More than 16,300 scholarships were awarded to youth as a result of the fundraiser.

Tractor Supply Company and the National 4-H Council are teaming up to raise money for scholarships that send in-state 4-H youth to camps, conferences, and development programs. Donaldsonville-area 4-H students will help raise the funds at local stores.

The Paper Clover fundraiser is an in-store donation event that runs through October 15. Donations of $1 and up will help kids in 4-H attend events where they can learn everything from animal care to civic leadership. Donors can purchase the paper clover emblems during checkout.

“We created the Paper Clover fundraiser because we know how important local 4-H groups are to protecting a way of life that’s built around community and service,” said Christi Korzekwa, senior vice president of marketing at Tractor Supply Company.

“We could not be more thankful to the Tractor Supply customers who have helped make Paper Clover such a successful event over the past eight years,” said Jennifer Sirangelo, president and CEO of National 4-H Council. “Every clover sold contributes directly to an amazing 4-H experience for youth who may have otherwise not had the opportunity."

Individual 4-H clubs will participate in events at their local Tractor Supply stores. Some will hold bake sales, car washes, and other activities to boost donations. In Ascension Parish, the 4-H Has a Heart Community Blood Drive will be held at Tractor Supply Co. in Gonzales on October 7 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Other upcoming events include the Ascension 4-H Pet Show and Pumpkin Contest at the Lamar-Dixon Trademart Building on October 5 at 6 p.m.
