Dutchtown alum Lloyd Cushenberry was recently named to the SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll.

Cushenberry heads into his sophomore season at LSU, where he'll be competing for a spot in the Tigers' offensive line rotation.

At Dutchtown, he was a tremendous player for the Griffins. In his senior season, he was both a first-team All-District 5-5A and All-Parish selection.

He originally committed to South Carolina, but with the resignation of head coach Steve Spurrier, Cushenberry ultimately decided to stay in state and attend LSU.
