(Monroe) The Monroe District Office of Probation and Parole received a complaint on May 3, 2017 regarding Probationer Kristopher Plumley, who is a registered sex offender on probation supervision for Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
The complainant reported Plumley was having unwanted physical contact with a seventeen-year-old female and was also using the social media app Snapchat to contact the minor.
According to Louisiana Revised Statute 14:91.5, Plumley is prohibited from using social networking websites due to his conviction for Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.
Probation and Parole Officers immediately began investigating the complaint and located Plumley in Mer Rouge, Louisiana on May 3, 2017. Plumley was in possession of a smartphone and officers were able to confirm the Snapchat app was installed on the phone and that it was actively being used by Plumley.
Plumley was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Social Networking Website and Probation Violation. He was then transported to the Morehouse Parish Jail where he was turned over to jail staff for booking.
