Beauregard Tourist Commission Annual Treasure Fest will be held in DeRidder, on the ground of Pinewood Elementary. The annual event is slated for this Saturday, May 6 and will be held at 800 Mel Branch Drive, off Highway 171. Saturday's event is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and wrap around 3 p.m.

Treasure Fest seeks to bring all yard sales to one location and feature items such as plants, furniture, antiques and much more. Saturday’s event is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and wrap around 3 p.m.

“Thinking of having your yard sale or fundraising sale? Hosting a yard sale at Treasure Fest will give you the opportunity to have hundreds of shoppers attend your sale, plus do away with unwanted items around the home,” stated Lori Darbonne, Director of the Beauregard Tourist Commission.

Treasure Fest organizers ask that items brought to be sold yard sale items at yard sale prices. If you would like to signup to sale items, there is a $20 deposit that is fully refundable upon set-up. Once registered you will be assigned a lot number. Participants need only to bring tables, chairs and merchandise.

To sell items you must be pre-registered, to do this you may mail your $20 registration fee to the Beauregard Chamber of Commerce at 111 N. Washington Ave in DeRidder or stop by their office. For further, details participants can call 337-463-5533.

Set up time for the event will be from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. For this annual event, the City of DeRidder generously waves all permits. There are to be no pet sales, with all unsold items being removed at the conclusion of Treasure Fest.
