According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, Eric Troquille, who is wanted for multiple burglaries, has not been apprehended as of 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Troquille was first spotted on Dutchtown Lane near La. 74 where he and another suspect fled on foot from deputies. The second suspect was apprehended after a brief foot chase. Hunt Correctional Center search dogs seemed to indicate that Troquille was running towards the La. 30 area.

After a five hour search, the dogs were pulled from the search area.

Deputies continued heavy patrol in the Dutchtown and Geismar area for the remainder of Tuesday evening and into the night. The Sheriff's Office said that they believe Troquille is no longer in the area and the communities of Dutchtown and Geismar are safe regarding the incident.  


The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for Eric Troquille, who is wanted for multiple burglaries in Ascension Parish. According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, deputies began a search in the Dutchtown Lane and the La. 74 area, but were unable to locate Troquille.


APSO is actively searching for a burglary suspect near the Dutchtown Lane and the La. 74 area. 

The subject should be considered armed and dangerous. 

He is a white male wearing a white shirt and khaki pants, possibly carrying a red bag.
