  • Ascension Parish Chief Criminal Deputy Tony Bacala reports the narcotics division has made multiple arrests following a month long narcotics investigation.
    On January 1, 2012, the Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives began an investigation into a number of individuals manufacturing methamphetamine at a home on Carrie Lane in Geismar, Louisiana.
    During the course of the investigation, narcotics detectives were successful in developing sufficient probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the home located at 13042 Carrie Lane, Bacala said.
    On February 1, 2012, narcotics detectives executed the search warrant and arrested the five occupants in the home for manufacturing methamphetamine and an array of additional drug charges. During the search of the home, narcotics detectives located seven methamphetamine labs, methamphetamine, marijuana, legend drugs, and drug paraphernalia. The home was also within one thousand feet of a day care and Dutchtown High School.
    On February 1, 2012, David Rahme Smith, 45, of 13042 Carrie Lane Geismar, Louisiana was arrested and charged with creation of clandestine lab, possession schedule II CDS methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of uniform CDS law (school zone), possession of schedule I CDS (Marijuana). He is currently incarcerated on a $86, 065 bond set by Judge Thomas Kliebert.
    On February 1, 2012, Monica Eve Smith, 44, of 13042 Carrie Lane Geismar, Louisiana was arrested and charged with creation of clandestine lab, possession schedule II CDS methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of uniform CDS law (school zone), possession of schedule I CDS (Marijuana). She is currently incarcerated on a $86, 065 bond set by Judge Thomas Kliebert.
    On February 1, 2012, Brandon Lane Lombard, 18, of 13042 Carrie Lane Geismar, Louisiana was arrested and charged with creation of clandestine lab, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of uniform CDS law (school zone). He is currently incarcerated on an $80,332.50 bond set by Judge Thomas Kliebert.
    On February 1, 2012, Barry W. Gautreaux, 37, of 13042 Carrie Lane Geismar, Louisiana was arrested and charged with creation of clandestine lab, possession schedule II CDS methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of uniform CDS law (school zone), 2 counts of possession of legend drug, and 3 counts of contempt of court (Misdemeanor). He is currently incarcerated on a $96,703.50 bond set by Judge Thomas Kliebert.
    On February 1, 2012, Terrin Smith, 19, of 13042 Carrie Lane Geismar, Louisiana was arrested and charged with creation of clandestine lab, possession schedule II CDS methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of uniform CDS law (school zone), possession of schedule I CDS (Marijuana), and contempt of court. She is currently incarcerated on a $86, 190 bond set by Judge Thomas Kliebert.
